Snow Tires For Sale In Colorado Springs

What’s worse than early morning traffic?

Easy: Early morning traffic in the snow.

You know the scene: Bumper-to-bumper traffic, red brake lights shining through swirling snow flurries, tires ping-ponging back and forth between the dotted lines…

Winter weather is seriously risky business.

Where are the lanes? Where is the road? How slippery is the asphalt? Will the cars ahead of you be able to stop in time? Will you be able to stop in time?

And what if you crash? Under the new Colorado traction law, snow tires are now a requirement. If you happen to be involved in a snow-related crash between September and June, you will be fined if you don’t have snow tires.

Seriously, Colorado Springs traffic is stressful enough without the threat of black ice and crazy tickets. But, ready or not, another Colorado winter is on its way. And we at Peak Kia would much prefer that you be ready rather than not.

How prepared are you?

Don’t worry. We’re here to help. That’s why our experts have put together this checklist so you can make sure your car is winter-weather-ready before the snow hits:

1). Check your battery. Most people don’t realize that the battery life of a car actually lessens in the cold. The last thing you’ll ever want to deal with is a dead battery in a blizzard (brrr). Be sure to get your battery inspected to make sure it’s in tip top shape to brave the frigid weather right alongside you.

2). Change your oil. Your engine will thank you.

3). Change your antifreeze. There’s enough ice on the roads. Don’t let it spread to your car.

And most importantly…

4). Change your tires. Think back to the last time you got your tires changed. When was it? Can’t remember? Time for new tires, then.

Why gamble on old tires?

Most people think that their tires are “good enough”. They’ve been driving in snow for years. They can handle the winter roads without an expensive set of new tires.

Listen, you’re a great driver. And we certainly don’t doubt your years of driving experience or your snow-driving-skills. But Colorado winters are seriously risky business. This year alone, 156,164 people will be involved in winter weather-related accidents, and 76,000 of them will be injured.

Would you bet on those odds?

Didn’t think so.

Your safety is our top priority.
